Howard Smith – Chairman

Howard Smith is Chairman of the Board of the Precision Group. Howard is also a director of Quadrant International Management (UK) Ltd, which is involved in the construction and management of collective investment schemes for international clients. In addition, he sits on the boards of several companies all of which are related to investment management.

Howard began his investment career in 1970 when he joined the National Coal Board as a graduate trainee. In the next twenty years he gained experience working for Investment Banks, Pension Funds and other Investment Institutions before becoming the Managing Director of TSB Investment Management. In the 1990s he worked for a UK Insurance Company and one in the Isle of Man before joining Morgan Stanley Quilter to run its institutional division. In 2003 Howard set up his own investment management company, Quadrant International Management (IOM) Ltd where he has been developing and managing a wide variety of funds with his team.

Jeremy Kemp – Managing Director

Jeremy Kemp is Managing Director of the Precision Group, a position he has held since September 2007. Jeremy began his career in 1978 in Crawley, West Sussex, England. Since then, he has held a series of leadership positions including Southern UK Service Centre Manager for Nixdorf Computers and UK Services Manager for ACT Computers.

Jeremy moved to Indonesia in 1994 and in 1995 became an equity partner in Pacific Financial Services (PFS), an independent financial advisory firm providing advice to clients in South East Asia. In 2002 he managed the merger of PFS with six other advisory firms to form Financial Partners International (FPI) where he took up the position of Chief Operations Officer for the group. He played a key role in creating and leading the operational aspects of FPI as the group expanded, and at its sale to Financial Partners Bank in September 2007 the group operated in eight countries throughout Asia and the Middle East and had assets under advice in excess of US$1billion.

Jeremy is a board member of the British Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia, a member of the Institute of Directors (IoD) London, and a member of the UK Chartered Insurance Institute

Matthew Deayton – General Manager, Business Development

Matthew Deayton is the General Manager, Business Development of the Precision Group and was appointed to this position at the time of formation in September 2007. Based in Hong Kong, Matthew runs the Hong Kong office and sits on the group management team.

He began his career in 1994 in Hong Kong following graduation from university in Australia. Since then, Matthew has held a series of leadership positions in both the project management and business operations disciplines in a number of different South East Asian and Middle Eastern countries. In 2000 he joined the ASP firm NAV Global, a Hong Kong-based company specialising in service applications for the financial services industry. In 2002 he was part of a team that merged 7 financial services firms to form Financial Partners International (FPI) where he took on the role of Group Systems Officer. Matthew was a member of the group operational team that expanded the FPI group to operate in eight countries in Asia and the Middle East through to the sale of the group to Financial Partners Bank in September 2007. Matthew has played a key group level management role in the formation and establishment of the Precision Group since its inception in late 2007.

Jojo Battung – General Manager, Corporate Services

Jojo Battung is General Manager, Corporate Services Division of the Precision Group. In this role, Jojo oversees all the operational aspects of a key service offering of the Precision Group, which is to provide back-office administration support to financial and professional services organisations. He is responsible for the creation of the division’s structure and task flow process.

Jojo brings to the Precision Group more than 10 years of solid work experience in the financial services sector, having assumed operational management positions in multinational companies including Prudential of America and AIG. He has extensive training and exposure in mutual funds, insurance products, and offshore investments. He honed his management skills through attending advanced courses in management and leadership.

Previously based in our Jakarta office, Jojo is now assigned to set up the Precision Group’s office in Manila, Philippines.

Matthew Arciniega – General Manager, Technology Services

Matthew Arciniega is General Manager, Information Technology Services at the Precision Group. He joined the company in 2007 after nearly 10 years in Asia as a WAN and LAN technical specialist, data communications analyst, consultant, trainer and manager in the information technology industry.

Since relocating to Southeast Asia from the United States in the early 1990s, his professional work has encompassed enterprise networking, perimeter security, wireless and satellite communications, ISP design and operations, PHP/mySQL development, rural systems deployment, and public/private sector business partnerships.

Matthew previously contributed his expertise to several World Bank and Government of Indonesia projects. In 2005 he was a key network designer for GFMRAP, a major Indonesian Ministry of Finance initiative to develop an integrated financial management information system uniting several hundred regional finance offices under a centralized database.

Cynthia Mononutu – General Manager, Creative Services

Cynthia Mononutu is General Manager, Creative Services of the Precision Group, a position she has held since September 2007. Cynthia started her career in 2003 as a Graphic Designer at Financial Partners International. Within four years she managed to expand the in-house creative team to 20 staff to serve the creative and branding needs of corporations both in print and online.

She joined the Precision Group in 2007, undertaking the key management role of the Creative Services division of the company as well as expanding the creative business through LEAP Agency. She has a deep understanding of design management for the financial and professional services sector.

Cynthia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication Design from Trisakti University, Indonesia and a Master of Design degree from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
